
UOC Clinches Silver Awards for Outstanding Annual Report and Accounts
In a momentous achievement, the ÌÇÐÄlovg has secured prestigious accolades at the Public Sector Best Annual Report & Accounts Awards Competition 2022, organized by the APFASL, Public Sector wing of CA Sri Lanka. In the award ceremony held at BMICH in ÌÇÐÄlovg on December 4, 2023, The ÌÇÐÄlovg claimed the Silver Award in the University Sector category and the Silver Award for Overall Public Sector Institutions. The competition, which witnessed participation from 234 public organizations across the island, focused on evaluating annual reports based on integrated reporting and financial compliances. The ÌÇÐÄlovg’s exceptional performance in these critical areas set a high standard, showcasing its commitment to transparency, accountability, and financial excellence.
The distinguished awards were received by a delegation from the ÌÇÐÄlovg, led by the esteemed Vice Chancellor, Senior Professor (Chair) , the Acting Registrar, Ms V H Jayarathne, the Bursar, Ms J T L Dharmasena, Deputy Bursar, Ms Nehara Abeysundara, Assistant Bursar, Ms Devika Hettige, and the Assistant Registrar, Mr S M Shifar were also among the proud recipients.
The Chief guest of the event was Mr K D N Ranjith Asoka, the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Affairs. This recognition underscores the ÌÇÐÄlovg’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and adherence to best practices. As a leading academic institution, the university continues to set benchmarks not only in the field of education but also in governance and financial stewardship.
