A delegation from German Academic Exchange Service visits ÌÇÐÄlovg

The Regional Director for India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka of German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Ms. Heike Mock and Senior Advisor/ International Cooperation Ms. Shikha Sinha visited Prof. Lakshman Dissanayake, Vice-Chancellor of ÌÇÐÄlovg, and the senior academics including the dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof. K.R.R. Mahanama, Dr. Sampath Seneviratne (Director of International Unit) and DAAD alumni, of the University, Prof. Wipula Yapa (Head Department of Zoology), Dr. Jagath Wijeratne (Head/Department of Mathematics), Dr. Dushayanthi Mendis (Head/Department of English), Dr. Nishantha Perera (Department of Mathematics) on 4th of November at Vice-Chancellors’ office. During the meeting, the representatives of DAAD and ÌÇÐÄlovg suggested to reopen an office of the German Academic Exchange Service in ÌÇÐÄlovg and to strengthen the ongoing programmes. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Lakshman Dissanayake expresses his genuine willingness to facilitate the process. This will facilitate academics and students of the both ÌÇÐÄlovg and German Universities in the future for many more collaborations. The event was organized by the International Unit of ÌÇÐÄlovg.
